Welcome to part seven of me deep-cleaning my Goodreads TBR with too much harshness!
This meme was originally created over at Lia @ Lost in a Story! It is incredibly fun while being productive and making me feel better about my TBR shelf since there are so many books, and not enough time to read them in! Honestly, life is too short to have books that you’re likely not going to read. Let’s do it.
THE BOOKS: BOOKS #46-55
Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes, #1) by Sara Raasch
I was initially going to remove this, but this sounds …. so cool? I might move it to my maybe/on my radar shelf later, but for now, this sounds too cool to kick to the curb.
The Diabolic (The Diabolic, #1) by S.J Kincaid
I think I was in my baby bookworm “add-anything-a-Booktuber-tells-you-to” phase, and I clearly did not know my reading tastes at the time. Now, I just don’t care. And sci-fi is clearly not my favorite genre to read, and I’m very selective of the sci-fi I DO read.
Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1) by Danielle Paige
I don’t know, the main character sounds interesting enough from reviews, but I’d rather stick with the regular Oz, thanks.
The Perfectionists (The Perfectionists, #1) by Sara Shepard
I added this in 2016, and I haven’t had an urge to pick up a Sara Shepard book, and … I don’t think I ever will if we’re being perfectly honest here.
Passengers (Passengers, #1) by Alexandra Bracken
I mean, I could be persuaded to pick this up, because it sounds sort of interesting? But first, the Darkest Minds. I NEED to finally finish that first, god. That cover though OH MY GOD.
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North
Why is this even here oh my god.
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
I really love Morgan Matson’s work, and I’ve read all her books except this one, and I WILL read it some day! Promise!
This Savage Song (Monsters of Verity, #1) by Victoria Schwab
Yeah, I know everyone loves Victoria Schwab and all, but I read a Darker Shade of Magic and three-starred it, and this concept doesn’t sound that interesting to me personally.
The Star-Touched Queen (The Star-Touched Queen, #1) by Roshani Chokshi
I love Asian authors and constantly boost them, but I ….. don’t know. I mean, this sounds kind of interesting, but I’m going to remove it for now and then add it back if I get enough recs? We’ll see?
Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1) by Susan Dennard
I’ve heard pretty mixed things about this … and after how some drama with this author and some of her actions towards the community, I don’t feel particularly comfortable in supporting her.
Hey, this is very lenient for me, lmao.
Which books should I have kept or removed from my TBR? Do you think I was too harsh with these books? What books have you added (or removed) to your TBR recently? I’d love to know.
