After what feels like an eternity, I’m back with me MAJORLY trimming down my Goodreads TBR!
This meme was originally created over at Lia @ Lost in a Story! It is incredibly fun while being productive and making me feel better about my TBR shelf since there are so many books, and not enough time to read them in! Honestly, life is too short to have books that you’re likely not going to read. Let’s do it.
Do note that all the pictures of the book covers have Goodreads links directing you straight to the book!
BOOKS #56-60
Rebel of the Sands (Rebel of the Sands, #1) by Alwyn Hamilton
Even though the original U.S cover is shockingly gorgeous and a masterpiece (LOOK AT IT. LOOK AT IT), it’s not a good enough reason to ignore how I .. forgot this existed for a couple of years.
Walk on Earth A Stranger (The Gold Seer Trilogy, #1) by Rae Carson
I’m not 1000% sure whether I should keep this on my TBR, because I’ve never really been a fan of Westerns! I mean, the concept does sound somewhat intriguing, but I don’t care for it that much.
By Your Side by Kasie West
I tried reading this a couple of years ago, but absolutely could not get into it. But since I do really enjoy Kasie West, and this concept sounds way too cute to finally pass up on!
The Crown’s Game (The Crown’s Game, #1) by Evelyn Skye
No disrespect to the author, but the gif below demonstrates how much I’m interested in reading this book.
Catwoman: Soulstealer (DC Icons, #3) by Sarah J. Maas
I’ve never been super into superheroes, and I pretty much only picked this series up because of Leigh Bardugo, Marie Lu and Wonder Woman. I don’t LOVE Maas’s works the way everyone else seems to, and I’m losing interest by the day, so.
BOOKS #61-65
Wolf by Wolf (Wolf by Wolf, #1) by Ryan Graudin
Ugh, this one has me absolutely stuck! The concept sounds A++, but at the same time, I haven’t had a really strong itch to read this in a while. Can you all let me know whether I should add this back?
Nemesis (Project Nemesis, #1) by Brendan Reichs
Look, this concept sounds super unique and creepy, but I don’t have time to read and keep all the books on my TBR, so this is likely going to have to go.
Before the Devil Breaks You (The Diviners, #3) by Libba Bray
I really enjoyed my time reading and listening to the Diviners and Lair of Dreams, and this Halloween (or a lil before) I’m 1000% going to listen to the audiobook to prepare for the final novel, even if it will definitely freak me out.
Spindle Fire (Spindle Fire, #1) by Lexa Hillyer
Oh why, oh why, oh why, did I add this onto my TBR? I honestly just don’t care. Like, I like retellings and all that, but this one doesn’t really CALL to me, you know? And coupled with the mediocre reviews,I’m sorry
The Defiant (The Valiant, #2) by Lesley Livingston
I did like the Valiant when I read it about two years ago, but I had lots of opportunities to read it, and didn’t, so what does that say? And I don’t personally think the Valiant needed a sequel, so I think I’m officially going to say thank you, next to this one. Yikes.
REMOVAL PERCENTAGE:
80%
Welp, is anyone surprised at this point?
Which books should I have kept or removed from my TBR? Do you think I was too harsh with these books? What books have you added (or removed) to your TBR recently? I’d love to know.
