A Very Exciting Announcement: Read (or Reread) the Legend Series With Us!

So, if you didn’t know, one of my favourite authors ever, is Marie Lu.

Marie, I love you and all your works and would sell my soul for ARCs of any of your works.

Anyways.

Since Rebel (the fourth book in the Legend series) is releasing on October, my friends (aka some of my favourite people, like ever)  and I decided to host a readalong for the Legend trilogy!

I’m seriously so excited for this, because 1) I have never co-hosted a readalong/readathon before, 2) I have the most amazing co-hosts, and 3) it’s Marie Lu.

I’m (Finally) Back with Another Discussion Post aka Why I Don’t Have Bookstagram (ft. Me being controversial, again)

So I haven’t done a classic discussion post in years, but hi.

Hello.

I’m Taasia, and I like to post highly personal, controversial and/or strange discussions about books!

Maybe a few of you noticed, but I am one of the few bloggers out there who does not have Bookstagram.

And since I’ve had this idea brewing in my mind for a while, so I figured it was time to actually write it.

Also, as of writing this post, I recently co-won the Small Book Blogger Award from the Third Book Blogger Awards along with the lovely Olivia @ Purely Olivia! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me & has supported me, beyond grateful and feeling so soft 💖 I love you all so MUCH. It all feels surreal.

And to all the people who just started following me because of that, thanks for stopping by. I hope you all enjoy the blog & like it enough not to unfollow.

So with that out of the way, let’s talk about today’s topic – the reasons why I personally choose not to have a Bookstagram.

My New Favourite Anthology – Ever? // Hungry Hearts Book Review

Wow, this was truly such an experience. This was an absolutely phenomenal anthology which spoke to my soul and heart, lived up to all my expectations. It is most definitely one of my favourites of the year and perhaps of all time, and even may be my favourite short story anthology ever.

I Found A Favourite of the Year and am Actually Doing Well On My TBR? // Recent Reads #3 (ft. Books With the Prettiest Illustrated Covers, Me Having A Lot to Say + Audiobooks Saving My Life)

In the plot twist of the century, sis found a 5 star read!

I know. Shocking.

I don’t know what else to say (I’m an incredibly awkward human lmao), and this post is way too long, so let’s just get into it!

And yes, I know I forgot to write an intro and left the word intro at the beginning. We all know I’m an embarrassment anyway.

We’re Reviving BuJo Posts: Plan with Me August ’19 (ft. My Personal BuJo + My Reading BuJo!!)

I love how my blog header says that I talk about books, bullet journaling and lifestyle things … and proceeds to not do bullet journal posts.

I was seriously planning on resuming Plan With Mes in July, but ultimately my blogging schedule just didn’t work out. So I guess we’re going to start them up in August?

Okay.

Currently, I do two set-ups before the start of each month: my personal bujo set up and my reading bujo set up. I figured I’d show you both of them in this post. Let me know if I should continue this, separate them into two posts, or only include one set up.

I tried my best with this set up, and I think it turned out pretty okay? I hope you guys think that it turned out well and that you like it! Please validate me.

August Reading Plans: Ft. A Traditional TBR (Who Am I?) & Me Failing My July TBR (but honestly, what’s new?)

So yes, TBRs (and exposing my inability are still a thing here.

I don’t know how well I’m going to do on my August TBR, considering the busyness of August. I’m following a traditional (ish?) TBR, which is going to be … interesting.

I’m going to make my emoji key (for my August TBR) a bit more intricate! I’m separating my TBR into priority and other titles. As for monthly TBR challenges, I’m going to be participating in Avid August, hosted by the Devour Your TBR Group on Goodreads, where you focus on reading books that you didn’t get around to on your previous TBRs!

Also, I forgot to mention this on my wrap up, but I’m going overseas from the 2nd of August (today!) to the 12th of August ish? I’m doing my best to have posts scheduled, but I’m going to be even worse at interacting and returning comments!

And yes, I failed my July TBR. Truly, is anyone surprised?

A Considerably Shorter July ’19 Wrap Up: ft. lots of bullet points, a pretty chill month + me being scared of August (and no, I’m not kidding)

July is over, and so is my free time (for the most part).

But seriously, July was generally a great month! 2019 is truly blowing by and that is absolutely insane to me.

I am terrified but nervously excited about everything in August, but it means a lot of things outside my comfort zone. Personal development, I suppose?

Love that for me ✌
