The Last (Albeit, Extremely Late) 2019 Wrap Up Post: The End of Year Bookish Survey ft. me screaming about a lot of books + the occasional meme

Welcome to the very last wrap up post for 2019!

Which is, annoyingly so, more than a month late, and even missed my regular uploading time!

This is, uh, going up at midnight, and it’s not a good look.

Today, I’m answering a good amount of the questions from the End of Year Bookish Survey! This is my second time doing this survey (having done this survey in 2018) and had lots of fun, so I figured this would be a good way to properly say goodbye to my 2019 reading year. I wrote a quick little summary in my 2019 recap post, so if you wanna see a quick overview of my reading year, it’s there for you.

Also, I’m so sorry I disappeared from the blog (again). It’s just that life got busy, I got distracted by life things in general, and yeah. Life just really be like that sometimes :/

This post took FOREVER to create and finish (like hours upon hours), so I’m gonna just end this here and take a huge nap because BOY do I need it.

My Most Anticipated Releases of January to June 2020 // ft. glorious covers, diversity and way too many March 3rd releases

It’s the Roaring ’20s, and 2020 is definitely going to smoother me with all the amazing new releases!!

And I cannot wait.

But also … 56 releases? I KNOW.

This is actually one of my favourite times of the year, because this is actually one of my favourite posts to create! I just love screaming about things I am excited for and they just put me in a really great mood, okay.

This list makes me really happy and there are some books that I am so, so sure I’m going to love, which makes me so happy. And it’s also pretty diverse!! Which is incredibly exciting too.

I’m going to shut up now so you can just go and read about the anticipated releases, but everything is in order of release date and the titles are directly linked to their respective Goodreads pages! (Please appreciate this, it literally took forever and I kind of wanted to scratch my eyes out, not going to lie).

It’s Time for That Post: Did I Read All My Anticipated Reads of 2019?

It is midway through January, and ya girl is here with checking in with all her anticipated releases of 2019!

An annual tradition, I guess.

I always like to do this post because often I find that those of us in the bookish community tend to make massive anticipated releases lists, scream about them and then never follow up on them.

Okay, if I’m being honest, this post is mostly for me, because I just love checking in, but it’s chill.

Let’s talk about 2019 releases!!

December ’19 Wrap Up // The One With the Last Wrap Up of the Decade (??), Last Reads of the Year + Lots of Life Things (aka me being very late with uploads)

Welcome to my last wrap up of the decade!!

I have no idea when I’m going to stop with these decade jokes. When all these posts are over, I guess.

It’s still really weird that it’s 2020, and I’m just still trying to get used to it, I guess.

Okay I’m going to stop talking since intros were never my strength anyways and to let you all just get into the post. Yeah? Okay.

A Very Late Reflection on 2019 // Reviewing My Reading, Blogging and Just General Life Things!!

2019 was a … wild year. And I genuinely have lots of feelings and thoughts about it.

I’m so behind on making all these 2019 wrap up / beginning of 2020 posts, but here’s the next one in this whole series! Today, I’m going to talk about my 2019 in terms of reading, blogging and life, and properly saying goodbye to 2019 in those regards, pretty much? Feeling all of those bittersweet feelings right now, honestly.

My Very Late Favourite Books of the Year ft. a Highly Predictable List And LOTS of Contemporary!!

Happy New Year and New Decade!!

Since 2019 has come to a close, it’s time to wrap up my year.

Let’s ignore the fact that this post is coming 5 days late.

I ended up taking a little unplanned break this month: I had full intentions to come back to blogging and draft all the year-end blog posts, but life really got me this month. I was just really busy and when I had time, I simply didn’t have the energy or the motivation to blog.

I think I’ve been in a little bit of a blogging slump in the last quarter of the year, and I didn’t really notice or acknowledge it? I’m kind of questioning a bunch of things and trying to ease back into it, but I do miss the interaction of it all and I do love blogging, I just need to re-spark that flame again.

Okay, enough about me – I’ll talk more about this in my December Wrap Up, but yeah!! On to my favourite books of the year.

December Reading Plans – A Super Short, Traditional TBR, Not Checking In With My November TBR + Me Rushing To Read All The Things Before 2020

The end of the year is coming up, which for most people, mean trying to rush read to beat their Goodreads goals.

… Which, uh, is not the case for me.

As of writing this, ya girl is still in a little bit of a reading funk, and I really want to get back into reading for fun, and not reading just for English A Level, if you know what I mean?

And this TBR post is the shortest TBR post I’ve ever written, and honestly, I’m proud of myself for not rambling on.
