Releases 5th November, 2019 (today!)

Thank you to Julie from HBG and the publisher for letting me read an early advanced reader’s copy of this book! Forever grateful ❤

In November of 2018, I hit a milestone in my reading life – I found a book with a clear Malaysian Chinese influence, which as a Malaysian Chinese kid, I never found but was internally.

And I fell in love with it. From the court intrigue to the discussion of sexual assault and to its presentation of beautiful, fierce Asian girls, there was so much to love in it. After I had devoured it in one sitting on a school night (it was worth it), I eagerly searched up the next book and was MASSIVELY anticipating the publication of this book.

A Strange Combination of Books // Recent Reads #8

It is I, back with (more) books I’ve read recently!

In the second half of October, I read 7 books, which was pretty cool, and since it was the time right before Halloween, I ~tried~ to read more spooky stuff/SFF, but yeah.

I’m going to shut up now since this post is 2.1k+ words, so here are the mini reviews for the books I read recently!

May Wrap Up – I Made It Out Alive (Somewhat) From IGCSE Season, Read A Lot of Books + I’m Back From Hiatus!

So, as you can tell from the title, I’m back from hiatus!

I’ve made it through most of my IGCSE exams (somewhat) alive, and … let’s not talk about them lmao. That period of my life is mostly over until results day is over.

Also, this month (and in the time I was away on hiatus) I reached 200 WordPress followers and 400 followers overall, which is awesome! It really blows my mind that 400 of you all are genuinely interested in reading my ramblings while I stumble through blogging. At the time of writing this, I’m close to 450 overall followers, which is pretty dope. I’ll probably do something for 500 overall followers, but I’m not sure. We’ll see.

Releases February 5th, 2019!

This is my first ARC ever, and what a special one it was. This was so good, and I highly recommend you pick this up when it releases on February 5th 2019.

I was so excited to read this one that I dropped my 3-5 (yes, you read correctly) current reads to pick this one. And it did not disappoint.
