During the time I disappeared, I … did read some books?
But since this is a book blog, we’re going to talk about them, but with the twist of tier ranking them!
If you all have (somewhat) kept up with the book internet (mostly book twitter and BookTube), you know that tier ranking is a massive trend. And since I too love
following the crowd ranking things, I’ve always wanted to make a tier ranking post at some point in the blog and to see how that would translate in blog form.
So after I saw Ellias’s video where he tier ranked all the books he recently read, I thought it would be a fun idea for me to do the same thing, especially since I’ve been finding the format of my previous wrap ups stifling, and need to try something new.
During quarantine (from March to May), I’ve read 14 books, and while I have read significantly less especially compared to previous years, I’ve been able to enjoy the books I do read more.
We’re going to go month by month, and then finish with the final graphic!
For everyone who wants the SparkNotes edition of this post.

It is I, back with (more) books I’ve read recently!
In the second half of October, I read 7 books, which was pretty cool, and since it was the time right before Halloween, I ~tried~ to read more spooky stuff/SFF, but yeah.
I’m going to shut up now since this post is 2.1k+ words, so here are the mini reviews for the books I read recently!

(And the mid of October).
I’m here to report that as of the time I published this post, I have finished four books, two of which were, uh, for English short stories.
I’m participating in Spookathon right now so hopefully I can get this number up? Hopefully.
And I have things to say about them.
So let’s talk about the books, shall we?
Note: I’m going to just be doing a bullet-point list for each short story, because we don’t have time, and also because it’s a short story. So.

I’m back with all my thoughts and opinions of books that I’ve recently read!
The second half of the month was a WILD ride (in terms of reading) because I really tried to get ahead of my goal to read 150 books, because hello, I just like overachieving I guess!
And grab a snack or a drink or whatever, because there is a lot of books in this post today.
More specifically, nine books.
I am deeply, deeply sorry.
And I mean it.
Well hello there.
Sorry that I pulled a little disappearing act here on the blog this week, but honestly, school is KILLING ME with lots of work and I am barely surviving and thus, couldn’t make time to blog last week, which SUCKED.
This post was supposed to go up on Wednesday, but here we are.
So since it passed the mid point of the month, I’m meant to post my next installment of my Recent Reads feature. Because of my neurotic-ness, I really want to get to 150 books this year, which means reading 12+ books each month.
And since I know that reading 12 books in a school month is highly unrealistic, I decided to use the short stories I’m using in English to add to my Goodreads challenge. They’re all under 15 pages, so it could be classed as cheating, but I really don’t think so (or care about it that much, in all honesty).
In this installment, we’re talking about five books I read in the beginning of the month.
Without further ado, here are some of my thoughts on the books I recently read!

So I finished my Goodreads Challenge this year?
I’m sorry this installment is coming so late, but I haven’t had much time to sit down and write blog posts, except a few hours after they’re to be scheduled! School is killing me with the amount of work (even though I love classes), which is NOT fun.
I read 5 books in the second half of August, which is a nice number, but there were a lot of middle of the road books this month, which was a little sad, but hey, hopefully September is better?

In the plot twist of the century, sis found a 5 star read!
I know. Shocking.
I don’t know what else to say (I’m an incredibly awkward human lmao), and this post is way too long, so let’s just get into it!
And yes, I know I forgot to write an intro and left the word intro at the beginning. We all know I’m an embarrassment anyway.
