Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag // Gushing about my 2020 reads + me trying to be concise

For some reason, it is already July?

Which means it’s time to look back on the year (in terms of my reading) so far. I always love doing these sorts of posts, and I’ve read some pretty good things in the first half of the year, so I figured I would do this post before it got too late.

And yes, I know I disappeared for a few weeks? I’m really trying not to do this, but some personal things came up (+ rising senior stress) so that I wasn’t in the best headspace to blog. But I’m back, and I’m really going to try my best to be consistent. You all are such gems and I love you all so much ❤️

The Last (Albeit, Extremely Late) 2019 Wrap Up Post: The End of Year Bookish Survey ft. me screaming about a lot of books + the occasional meme

Welcome to the very last wrap up post for 2019!

Which is, annoyingly so, more than a month late, and even missed my regular uploading time!

This is, uh, going up at midnight, and it’s not a good look.

Today, I’m answering a good amount of the questions from the End of Year Bookish Survey! This is my second time doing this survey (having done this survey in 2018) and had lots of fun, so I figured this would be a good way to properly say goodbye to my 2019 reading year. I wrote a quick little summary in my 2019 recap post, so if you wanna see a quick overview of my reading year, it’s there for you.

Also, I’m so sorry I disappeared from the blog (again). It’s just that life got busy, I got distracted by life things in general, and yeah. Life just really be like that sometimes :/

This post took FOREVER to create and finish (like hours upon hours), so I’m gonna just end this here and take a huge nap because BOY do I need it.

I Ramble On About Books, Blogging and Life (ft. my takes on “generic” blogging content and getting into deep stuff) aka the Liebster Award

Welcome back to volume I-don’t-even-know-what-number of me oversharing, again!

The lovely Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea tagged me back in September to do this post (I’m so sorry I haven’t replied to it, I’ll do it asap ❤ ), and since I suck and school is making me very tired and having less time to blog, I haven’t gotten around to it until now. Also, her questions were so interesting and fun that I simply couldn’t pass on doing it. Thank you for tagging me, Caitlin!

I’m going to you know, end this introduction now because this post is way too long (it’s now 2.4 thousand words geez), so we can actually get to the good part of this post!

My Very Late Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag – some stats, and lots of books!

It’s July, and we are somehow more than halfway through the year!

How.

This is one of my favourite posts to write every year, and I was just about to write this post when I saw that the lovely Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea tagged me to do this. So thank you so much, Caitlin!

I really emphasize on not including rereads in here, but sometimes you just have to.

So, let’s talk about the books I have read in the first half of this year!

I’m Jumping On The Bandwagon aka the Sunshine Blogger Award!

Okay, I’ve been seeing this tag/award for a while, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I was nominated for this tag by the lovely Lais @ the Bookish Skies! She is truly such a smart ray of sunshine who I adore, so here is your daily Lais plug! ❤ Thanks for nominating me, Lais!

Anyways, on to the tag/award!

The Bookshelf Tag: It’s the New Year So Why Not

New Year, New Me, New Bookshelves?

Well I lied, I got them in September, but let’s pretend they’re new, shall we.

I’ve been meaning to get this done and up ever since I saw it on BooksandLala’s channel, but I kept pushing this further and further back until I ended up scheduling this for January.

Not gonna lie, I did it because of the shiny, new New Year aesthetic that I’m trying to emulate while simultaneously being exhausted 24/7.

It’s a great time.

I just want to say that no matter how big, small, or perhaps non-existent your personal book collection is, whether you have a bookshelf or not, etc. does not give anyone the right to not validate you as a bookworm.

You are a bookworm so long as you read and like reading books.

Sounds good?

Let’s get to the tag.

Let’s Spill Some Tea with the (Very Old) Unpopular Bookish Opinions Tag

I, like many other people (some of whom freely admit that, and some of whom who don’t, no shade intended), highly enjoy tea and it being spilled, especially when it comes to controversial opinions.

I know that quite a few of you enjoy tea being spilled too – content with people expressing their unpopular opinions are more popular than content where tea isn’t there, so I know I’m not the only one, hehe.

I personally love these kinds of posts, so I decided to do this tag even though it’s officially dead and quite old, especially in this community’s standards.

Let’s get into me spilling the tea, hope I can find some solace and come out of the comments section alive.

Yes, I’m switching in between graphics because I’m in a graphics crisis and I’m not sure which one I like more?
