Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag // Gushing about my 2020 reads + me trying to be concise

For some reason, it is already July?

Which means it’s time to look back on the year (in terms of my reading) so far. I always love doing these sorts of posts, and I’ve read some pretty good things in the first half of the year, so I figured I would do this post before it got too late.

And yes, I know I disappeared for a few weeks? I’m really trying not to do this, but some personal things came up (+ rising senior stress) so that I wasn’t in the best headspace to blog. But I’m back, and I’m really going to try my best to be consistent. You all are such gems and I love you all so much ❤️

The Percy Jackson Book Tag // ft. me attempting not to repeat books + small text

So if you didn’t know, Percy Jackson is getting an adaptation.

And I, like the entire planet, am hyped about it!

While Percy Jackson was not my number one series as a child, it was still so critical in shaping me as a baby reader and just in my reading journey in general, so I thought this was fun to do, especially since both May @ Forever and Everly and Lily @ Sprinkles of Dreams tagged me in it. I love you both (and everyone needs to follow them now if they haven’t already) ❤

Note: While I did not address this last week as I had scheduled my post before everything blew up, I wanted to take a second to address the current political turmoil and the Black Lives Matter movement across the world. As someone with the privilege of having a platform, it’s so important for me to use it, so I’ve linked some organisations you can check out or donate to below:

The Last (Albeit, Extremely Late) 2019 Wrap Up Post: The End of Year Bookish Survey ft. me screaming about a lot of books + the occasional meme

Welcome to the very last wrap up post for 2019!

Which is, annoyingly so, more than a month late, and even missed my regular uploading time!

This is, uh, going up at midnight, and it’s not a good look.

Today, I’m answering a good amount of the questions from the End of Year Bookish Survey! This is my second time doing this survey (having done this survey in 2018) and had lots of fun, so I figured this would be a good way to properly say goodbye to my 2019 reading year. I wrote a quick little summary in my 2019 recap post, so if you wanna see a quick overview of my reading year, it’s there for you.

Also, I’m so sorry I disappeared from the blog (again). It’s just that life got busy, I got distracted by life things in general, and yeah. Life just really be like that sometimes :/

This post took FOREVER to create and finish (like hours upon hours), so I’m gonna just end this here and take a huge nap because BOY do I need it.

My Very Late Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag – some stats, and lots of books!

It’s July, and we are somehow more than halfway through the year!

How.

This is one of my favourite posts to write every year, and I was just about to write this post when I saw that the lovely Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea tagged me to do this. So thank you so much, Caitlin!

I really emphasize on not including rereads in here, but sometimes you just have to.

So, let’s talk about the books I have read in the first half of this year!
