Wow, this was truly such an experience. This was an absolutely phenomenal anthology which spoke to my soul and heart, lived up to all my expectations. It is most definitely one of my favourites of the year and perhaps of all time, and even may be my favourite short story anthology ever.
In the plot twist of the century, sis found a 5 star read!
I know. Shocking.
I don’t know what else to say (I’m an incredibly awkward human lmao), and this post is way too long, so let’s just get into it!
And yes, I know I forgot to write an intro and left the word intro at the beginning. We all know I’m an embarrassment anyway.

I love how my blog header says that I talk about books, bullet journaling and lifestyle things … and proceeds to not do bullet journal posts.
I was seriously planning on resuming Plan With Mes in July, but ultimately my blogging schedule just didn’t work out. So I guess we’re going to start them up in August?
Currently, I do two set-ups before the start of each month: my personal bujo set up and my reading bujo set up. I figured I’d show you both of them in this post. Let me know if I should continue this, separate them into two posts, or only include one set up.
I tried my best with this set up, and I think it turned out pretty okay? I hope you guys think that it turned out well and that you like it!
Please validate me.
So yes, TBRs (and exposing my inability are still a thing here.
I don’t know how well I’m going to do on my August TBR, considering the busyness of August. I’m following a traditional (ish?) TBR, which is going to be … interesting.
I’m going to make my emoji key (for my August TBR) a bit more intricate! I’m separating my TBR into priority and other titles. As for monthly TBR challenges, I’m going to be participating in Avid August, hosted by the Devour Your TBR Group on Goodreads, where you focus on reading books that you didn’t get around to on your previous TBRs!
Also, I forgot to mention this on my wrap up, but I’m going overseas from the 2nd of August (today!) to the 12th of August ish? I’m doing my best to have posts scheduled, but I’m going to be even worse at interacting and returning comments!
And yes, I failed my July TBR. Truly, is anyone surprised?
July is over, and so is my free time (for the most part).
But seriously, July was generally a great month! 2019 is truly blowing by and that is absolutely insane to me.
I am terrified but nervously excited about everything in August, but it means a lot of things outside my comfort zone. Personal development, I suppose?
Love that for me ✌
Ya girl is back to ramble on about the books she has finished reading!
Ever since I wrote up the very first post in the series, I found that this both really works for me + it’s a great way for me to review the books I have read without committing to a full review!
During the second half of the month, I read eight books (seven novels and one flash fiction) from a wide variety of genres and did like them all.
I also participated in the Reading Rush (which made up five of these books) during my family vacation, and I’m super proud of myself, honestly.
On to the books!
The first half of 2019 slayed me with all its releases, and while the second half won’t be as bad, it’s putting up a good fight.
But not in a negative way! (But also, my wallet).
There are so many great releases coming out at the second half of 2019, and since I already made a list of amazing releases at the beginning of the year, I simply couldn’t resist writing this post!
I put everything in order of release date, because it just makes the most sense! I’d love to do it in order of genre, but my neurotic self would not be able to handle it.
Onto the books (
and the screaming!)
